A Coop Work Permit like internship allows a person to work on study permit. For this, a student must obtain a letter from the college which mentions the mandatory nature of working alongside studies. A Coop Work Permit can be obtained only after getting a valid Study Permit.

A condition that must be met is that the employment under the Coop Work Permit must be less than 50% of the program opted by the student.
