It is the fastest route for any immigrant to receive a permanent resident status in Canada. It follows an online system to organize and process applications which are further categorised into two broad categories –

(I) Federal Skilled Worker: Skilled Workers outside Canada and without any connections to Canada can now directly apply for permanent residency in Canada. There are minimum requirements like work experience, language proficiency, academic qualifications, and financial support.

(II) Federal Trade Worker: Under this category, a professional must have a minimum of two years of full-time experience in a skilled trade which has been obtained by the applicant in the last five years. There are different occupation groups enlisted under this provision and the applicant must have experience in one of them. Other requirements like Canada Employment Connection and Language Proficiency are also important.
